YMUN FAQs
Will YMUN be in-person or virtual this year?
After a successful in-person YMUN 50 conference, the YMUN LI Secretariat is expecting and planning for another fully in-person conference experience on Yale’s beautiful campus. We are closely monitoring the global public health situation, and in consultation with the relevant Yale authorities, we will announce any changes to the conference format if they occur.
If you have specific questions or concerns about COVID-19 safety at YMUN, please feel free to contact us.
Is there an option to attend YMUN virtually?
As of now, all delegations attending YMUN will do so in-person. If you have special circumstances that prevent your delegation from participating in-person, please email Peilin Lu at secgen@ymun.org for more information.
What is the vaccination policy for YMUN LI?
Currently, Yale’s COVID-19 policy does not require vaccination, but it is heavily encouraged as a preventative measure for people’s own safety. This is subject to change as Yale continuously evaluates the health of the community. Delegates and advisors will be informed promptly should Yale change its vaccine policies.
How do I register for YMUN?
Registration for YMUN occurs on our registration platform, at registration.ymun.org. To begin the registration process, click “Sign Up”.
Why should I attend YMUN?
Each year, delegates describe YMUN as a transformative experience that allowed them to engage with peers from all over the world, consider complex and important global issues, and experience one of the most historic and beautiful college campuses in the world.
Highlights of YMUN LI include:
A wide variety of small-sized committees with topics covering every area of interest that take place in Yale classrooms and are chaired by Yale students
Yale Day, a uniquely-YMUN event where delegates can attend lectures from Yale professors, watch performances from Yale student groups, and engage with Yale students
Exploring Yale’s historic campus in New Haven, CT
And more!
